- Two Martin Dene juniors enjoyed success this month at the Kent Junior County Closed Championships, held at Bromley Tennis centre, Newstead.
Sophia Thomas, the county number one in the girls 14 and under section, won the 14 and under event at the championships. She endured a number of hard fought matches such as a three set, semi final win, which ended in a 1-6 6-2 6-4 victory for Sophia. ( Click on the link to view the full story.)
-The Martin Dene LTC club tournament was one of the best witnessed in recent history, with a number of county standard performances offered from a large number of different players.
The highlight of the day was the Men’s singles final, which was a close fought bout between two club giants, David McGonigle and Ravi Salh.
